Emissary
A downloadable game for Windows, macOS, and Linux
This narrative-based precision platformer game puts you in the shoes of a courier traversing the post-apocalyptic ruins of a city, delivering messages between settlements of survivors and making tough moral choices about which messages to read or alter, while braving the increasingly dangerous hazards of the decaying urban terrain. The narrative explores themes of community and resilience while giving you a sense of skill growth and accomplishment with tricky platforming gameplay.

Install instructions
Installing on Windows:
Double-click the executable and follow any prompts.
Installing on macOS:
1. Download “Emissary.app.zip” using the button above. You should now have this file inside your Downloads folder.
2. Open the downloaded zip file to unzip the contents. You should now have an app that looks like the icon below in your Downloads folder.
3. You will likely receive the message below if you open the Emissary app right away. Worry not! The following steps will resolve this and open the game successfully. We promise our game is not a virus, macOS just doesn't like indie developers :(
4. Go to system settings
5. Click on “Privacy & Security” on the left toolbar and scroll to the bottom. You should find a section saying that “Emissary” was blocked from use followed by an “open anyway” button. Click on “open anyway” and enter your user credentials.
6. Reopen the Emissary app. Everything should work now. Enjoy our game :)
Installing on Linux
1. Unzip the file
2. Run the executable to launch the game
